Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim is to acquire a grounding of contemporary Russian for further study of the language - practising reading, writing in Russian alphabet, mastering phonetic and intonation particularities of Russian. Acquiring elementary vocabulary and grammar structures and practising them. Practicing elementary phrases for communication. Creating a grounding of general languagewith the output level A1-A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary
The instruction is intended for beginners. Its aim is to master the sound and graphic aspect of Russian (practising Russian alphabet, pronunciation, stress, intonation), to acquire elementary knowledge of Russian grammar and vocabulary and using it while communication practice for everyday situation.
The aim is to acquire language skills with the output level A1-A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Subject syllabus:
Russian - elementary (R2a) is not taught in combined study.
The 2nd year students of combined study programmes can choose and enroll Russian - pre-intermediate (R2a) - 712-675/02, or a different language.
