Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Acquiring enriched vocabulary and developing the knowledge of the grammar necessary for complex communication (mainly oral) in Russian at intermediate level. Practising listening skills and adequate reactions in speaking skills.
Writing curriculum vitae in Russian.
The aim is to acquire language skills with the output level A2-B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary
The subject links up to language skills in Russian acquired at secondary school. Its aim is to enrich the vocabulary, develop the knowledge of grammar structures necessary for oral and written communication and to use them in everyday situation at intermediate level. The aim is to acquire language skills with the output level A2-B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Subject syllabus:
Russian for self-learners and perpetual beginners. Units 11-20.
11. Let's go! (Поехали). Declension of nouns ending in -ий, -ия, -ие in singular. Condition method. Declension of nouns ending in ж, ш, ч, щ, ц.
12. Let's go shopping! (Идем за покупками). Declension of adjectives in the singular. Construction мне нужен/нужна/нужно/нужны. Conjugation of verbs любить аnd купить. Basic numerals 200 and higher in the 1st case. Counted subject.
13. To the bar or to the gym? (В бар или в спортзал?). Verb tenses пить, есть. Declension of masculine and feminine nouns in the plural.
14. Health above all (Здоровье прежде всего). Declension of nouns of the middle gender in the plural. Formation of imperative method for the 2nd person singular and plural. Order for reflexive verbs. Conjugation of the verb to write. The verb be in the past tense. The negative of the verb to have in Russian in the past and future tense.
15. Let's celebrate! (Давайте праздновать!). The plural form of feminine nouns ending in a soft consonant. Ordinal numerals. Reading and communicating the date. Declension of demonstrative pronouns этот, эта, это, эти. Formation of the 3rd person singular and plural and the 1st person plural.
16. Hello, I am listening to you! (Алло, я вас слушаю!). Declension of nouns ending in -ий, -ия, -ие in plural. Declension of plural adjectives.
17. We'll be in touch! (Будем в контакте!). Gradation of adjectives. Conjugation of the verb видеть.
18. What will the weather be like tomorrow? (Какая погода будет завтра?). Gradation of adverbs. Declension of possessive pronouns in plural. Constructions of purpose of the type чтобы+infinitiv. Expressing temperature.
19. In the office (В офисе). Expression of permission and prohibition. Expression of time in Russian. Gender inflection in Russian.
20. Russia - a country without borders (Россия – страна без границ). Verbal aspect. False friends.
