Technology 1: The aim is to create a grounding of ESP language with respect to communication skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening with the output level A2 – B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary

The instruction focuses on managing vocabulary, grammar phrases within the set range. A student talks about ways in which technology affects our lives, he/she is able to describe branches of technology, discuss inventions and their contribution to the society, characterizes basic building materials, talks about famous designers of the 20th century.

Další požadavky na studenta

Active participation during tutorials, the completion of assigned written and oral tasks, chosen chapters from Technology 1, translation of technical texts, terminology testing, 80% attendance, min. test result: 65%. Students are required to translate the given texts and learn new vocabulary based on them. Students will master both vocabulary and knowledge needed for their future careers. Teachers will check the progress by tests.
