Summary

Technical English 4: Units 4-6 The lessons focus on mastering the lexicon, grammar, and phraseology within the given scope. Students will acquire complex language skills, they will be able to use terminology related to the course topics, so that they will be able to apply them once they are working as managing professionals within an international working environment. Students will be able to discuss the cyberinfrastructure and sensors, write a short report using the passive voice, and learn to describe each stage of a process using terms expressing cause and effect. Student will also learn the ways of expressing degrees of (un)certainty and learn to draw a risk assessment table as well as appropriate phrases for arguing about the engineering solutions of projects. As part of the course, students also work with online lecture modules created for selected professional texts according to the faculty's focus and thus develop their knowledge of terminology in their field.
