Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim is to create a grounding of ESP language with respect to communication skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening with the output level B1-B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary

The lessons focus on mastering the lexis, grammar, and phrases within the given scope. Students will acquire comprehensive language skills; they will be able to use terminology related to the course topics so that they are prepared for management positions in an international working environment. Students will learn the phrases suitable for describing graphs, future events and for describing causes and solving problems. They will discuss the possibilities of working abroad and an ideal career path. They will also get acquainted with the principle of setting goals according to SMART criteria. An integral part of the course is the development of skills related to work with selected technical texts and professional terminology in connection with the focus of the faculty.
