Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to deepen general language knowledge and to create the foundations of professional English within all language skills, i.e. speaking, writing, reading and listening with the output level of B2-C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Summary
The lessons focus on mastering the lexicon, grammar, and phraseology within the given scope. Students will acquire complex language skills, they will be able to use terminology related to the course topics, so that they will be able to apply them once they are working as managing professionals within an international working environment.
Students will be able to discuss technological developments and write a short report using language structures for comparing and contrasting. Students will become familiar with vocabulary that they can use to explain the technical terms to the laymen/laywomen and will also learn how to express the degree of possibility and probability in assessing risks. Students will become familiar with the vocabulary associated with product launches and language structures commonly used in contract discussions.
Students also work with online lecture modules created for selected professional texts according to the faculty's focus and thus develop their knowledge of terminology in their field.
