Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim is to acquire communication skills in professional English with the output level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The subject is intended for the FBI students who have already passed English examination at the Language Department.This one-term course is possible to study only once during the study at the VŠB-TUO.

Summary

The English Conversation for FBI course focuses on English's speaking and listening aspects. It is based on thematically selected lessons according to Technology for Engineering and Applied Sciences. Students will discuss innovations in technology. In particular, students will look at technologies and how they are applied in the fields of IT, sports, transport, crime investigation, telecommunication, and medicine. In addition, students will examine their impacts on society and possible applications in the future.
