Technology 2: The aim is to create a grounding of ESP language with respect to communication skills, i.e. reading, writing, speaking and listening with the output level B1-B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Summary

Technology 2: The instruction focuses on managing vocabulary, grammar, and phrases within a set range and preparing for a presentation. A student will be able to discuss basic terminology within the oil industry, talk about technologies for saving the environment, he/she will manage to read the numbers and elementary mathematical operations.

Active participation during tutorials, the completion of assigned written and oral tasks, chosen chapters from Technology 2, translation of technical texts. 80% attendance, min. test result: 65%. Students are required to translate the given texts and learn new vocabulary based on them. Students will master both vocabulary and knowledge needed for their future careers. Teachers will check the progress by tests.
