Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1. The aim of the course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills of tennis, and to cover all aspects of the tennis game theoretically and practically. 2. In this course, the students are acquainted with the basic concepts and practical exercises of all tennis strokes. 3. Great emphasis is placed on the development of physical abilities and skills throughout the game. 4. An integral part of exercise and theoretical training is tactics, history and economic-managerial aspects of tennis. 5.Those who completed the subject should be able to apply basic skills and techniques of stroke, including practical application of the knowledge gained in the subject.

Summary

Main topics (syllabus) of the course: 1. Introduction to the organization and course of teaching, safety, initial diagnostics of probands. 2. Introduction to the basic rules of the game, theory (video demonstration) of the basic technique of forehand, training and mastering the basic technique (forehand) using a recording machine. 3. Video analysis of forehand probands, practice of basic forehand technique. 4. Theory of basic technique (video demonstration) backhand, training (backhand) using a recording machine. 5. Video analysis of backhand probands, backhand training. 6. Theory (video demonstration) basic technique of submission, practice of submission. 7. Theory (video demonstration) network game, call and smash training. 8. Video analysis of probands submission, practice game on the net. 9. Application of tactics and strategy in singles, practice of the game. 10. Video analysis of probands in singles, practice of the game. 11. Application of tactics and strategy in doubles, practice of the game. 12. Video analysis of probands in doubles, practice of the game. 13. Written test, court conditions, singles tournament. 14. Presentation, output diagnostics, doubles tournament.

Subject syllabus:

Audience has the choice of various sports offered by the Department of Physical Education and Sport, e.g. badminton,martial arts, florbal, futsal, handball, rock-climbing, yoga, jogging, music fitness exercise, fitness body building, ice hockey, swimming, table tennis, tennis, voleyball, relaxation, expressive dance. Education of individual sports is aimed at rising stamina, familiarization of sport methodology, tactics, rules and improvement in practical activities - evolution of special physical skills for the apropriate sport discipline. The head of Deparment of Physical Education and Sport will select 1 sport in winter semester and 1 sport in summer semester according to the personal and material situation and the interest from audience.
