Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
1. to familiarize the students with sports badminton
2. to explain the rules of the game
3. to teach the students the whole strike range and its practical use in competitive game
4. to master tactics in single and double matches
5. to teach students how to referee matches and organize different variations of the badminton tournament
6. to increase the physical fitness of students
7. contribute to the formation of their active lifestyle.

To contribute to improving the students' physical condition.To develop students' locomotive skills and abilities by offering a range of sports. To acquaint the students with the methodology, techniques, and tactics of the chosen sort of sport.

1. Introduction to the principles of safety in physical education and injury prevention. The basics of proper rocket grip and proper stroke
2. Basic stroke scale – drills
3. Court dimensions for singles, net height, singles rules
4. Dimensions of the court for doubles, rules of doubles
5. Training the clear stroke
6. Training the drop stroke and net play
7. Training the drive stroke
8. Training the smash stroke
9. Training various variants of service, introduction to the rules of service
10. Training tactics in singles
11. Training tactics in doubles, function and position of players
12. Organization of the tournament in singles
13. Organization of the tournament in doubles
14. Presentation of badminton rules
