Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students has the choice of various sports offered by the Department of Physical Education and Sport, e.g. badminton, florbal, footbal, frisbee, futsal, rock-climbing, music fitness exercise, fitness body building, table tennis, tennis, rowing, voleyball. Education of individual sports is aimed at rising stamina, familiarization of sport methodology, tactics, rules and improvement in practical activities - evolution of special physical skills for the apropriate sport discipline.

Summary

Learning outcomes of the course is to increase the physical fitness of students, to develop specific physical abilities and skills from various sports. It deals with competition rules, training methodology, technique and tactics of selected sport. They will familiarize students with the principles of organization of competitions in selected sport, principles of safety and protection during sporting activities. It provides information about healthy nutrition, principles of healthy lifestyle, gymnastic recreation, and the social significance of sport.

Students should demonstrate their ability to understand the fundamental issues of the course and meet the credit conditions. The student demonstrates the knowledge of the rules of the given sport, he focuses on the importance of sport in creating a healthy lifestyle.

Subject syllabus:

1. Familiarization with health and safety in sport. 2. Principles of good warming up before physical activity. 3. The training methodology chosen sport. 4. Familiarization with the competition rules of the selected sport. 5. Practicing proper technique chosen sport. 6. Development dexterity skills with the needs of a selected sport. 7. Mastering the tactics chosen sport. 8. Increasing physical condition to meet the needs of the selected sport. 9. Cooperation within the sports team. 10. Principles of healthy nutrition. 11. Principles of a healthy lifestyle. 12. Health impact of physical recreation. 13. Competition in selected sports. 14. Principles of proper stretching after physical activity.
