Collect the basic principles and laws of the chosen part of the classical physics Describe, clarify and interpret the particular natural phenomena Apply the simple mathematical methods for describing of the physical phenomena Illustrate obtained knowledge in the frame of the easy applications

Subject syllabus:

System of particles. The center of mass. Superposition of forces and torques. Newton's second law in angular form. The second Newton's law for rotational movements, rotational inertia and energy of rotational movement. Rolling and torque. Conservation of angular momentum. Summary of conservation laws. Oscillations. Pendulums, simple harmonic and damped harmonic motions. Standing and traveling waves, longitudinal and transversal waves. Wave equation. Waves propagation in homogeneous media and effects at the interface. Sound, Doppler effect, interference of waves. Wave optics: interference, diffraction, dispersion. Light sources, photon. Physical field: gravitational, electrical and magnetic field. Action of forces through the fields, strong and low interactions. Maxwell equations.
