Subject syllabus:

1. Neutron (discovery, properties). 2. Cross section of nuclear reactions. 3. Nuclear reactions with neutrons. 4. Interaction of neutrons with matter. 5. Neutron sources I (radioisotopes, accelerators, spallation sources). 6. Neutron sources II (reactors, neutron generators). 7. Energetic spectrum of neutrons. 8. Instrumental neutron activation analysis. 9. Radiochemical neutron activation analysis. 10. Prompt neutron activation analysis. 11. Applications in material research. 12. Detection limits. 13. Measurement of neutron flux. 14. Measurement of gamma spectra of neutron-activated materials.
