Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
1. Představit a na vybraných příkladech demonstrovat aplikaci lagrangeovského a hamiltonovského formalizmu ve fyzice.
2. Poukázat na některé zajímavé aspekty kvantové teorie.
3. Seznámit se základy speciální teorie relativity a formulací fyzikálních rovnic ve 4-rozměrném Minkowskiho prostoročase.

Summary
Hamiltonův princip nejmenší akce patří k principům, na jejichž základě se dají formulovat všechny rovnice moderní fyziky a který slouží i jako nástroj pro hledání teorií nových. Výklad je věnován jeho aplikaci v rámci lagrangeovského a hamiltonovského formalizmu v klasické, kvantové a relativistické mechanice. V závěru je diskutováno využití principu nejmenší akce v teorii pole. Přednáška obsahuje mj. základy speciální teorie relativity a fyziky plochého (Minkowskiho) prostoročasu.
