Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Student is able to analyse, evaluate, predict and consider various processes taking place in fluids, especially regarding their utilization in practice. He is able to apply theoretical and experimental approach for studying of these processes and problems.

Summary
The topics of the subject are as follows: structure of fluids, mechanics of fluids, motion of viscous fluid, wave processes in fluids, transmission phenomena in fluids, motion of solid particle in fluids, surface phenomena, theory of physical similarity, electric and thermal properties of fluids, methods of flow visualization, fundamentals of water jet as tool for material machining.
