Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Course graduate gets an overview in the areas of structure and characterization of carbonaceous materials. They will learn the latest trends in the use of these materials in conventional and new fields such as nanotechnology. The exercise will learn to evaluate the basic parameters of carbon materials.

Teaching methods

Summary

The subject focuses on explanation of : a) methods of structural analysis; b) real structure of diamond, graphite and other industrial carbons, c) structure of nanocarbons (fullerens, nanotubes) and caborn fibers, d) C-C composites. Cabonaceous materials applications.
