The student will understand the principles of modern instrumental analytical methods used in the analysis of different materials. Ones will be able to design the analytical procedure to examine the results and understand the correlation between structure and chemical composition of materials.

Summary

Předmět je zaměřen na moderní fyzikálně-chemické postupy analýzy v oblasti anorganické a organické analytické chemie. V úvodu budou posluchači seznámeni s postupy úpravy vzorků využívající např. mikrovlnné záření, extrakce apod. Budou podrobně vysvětleny fyzikálně chemické základy optických, elektrochemických i chromatografických metod. Z jednotlivých metod bude důraz kladen na ty metody, které se uplatňují při hodnocení chemického složení odpadů. V závěru budou zmíněné metody fázové a strukturní analýzy (termická analýza, rentgenová difrakce). Posluchači budou také seznámeni se základy chemometrie.

Subject syllabus:

Chemical treatment of samples for inorganic and organic analysis (decomposition of the dry and wet, microwave digestion), separation techniques. - Introduction to instrumental methods of analysis. - Optical Methods of Chemical Analysis. Distribution. Physico-chemical principles. Atomic spectroscopy, molecular spectroscopy in the UV, IR and VIZ spectrum, mass and laser spectroscopy. Equipments. Applications. - Electrochemical Methods of chemical analysis. Physico-chemical principles. Basic methods. Equipments. Applications. - Basic methods of structural and phase analysis of inorganic materials (principle and application of thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction). Equipments. Applications. - Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), Raman spectroscopy, Mass spectroscopy (MS). Equipments. Applications. - Chromatographic separation methods. Liquid and ion chromatography, principle. Equipments. Applications. - Chromatographic separation methods. Gas chromatography, principles. Equipments. Applications.
