Summary
An introductory course, Nanotechnology I., is divided into two areas. In the first area, students are acquaint with the history and present of nanotechnology, with their perspective and current research, an overview of university and commercial companies with different ways of support and funding of nanotechnology in Czech Republic and in the world. In the second area, students are acquainting with the basic information about various types of nanomaterials, their structure, properties and methods of their characterization. They will gain an overview of the technologies of nanomaterials preparation, research areas and development of new nanomaterials and learn about their practical use.
