Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will achieve knowledge on methods leading to preparation of nanoparticles and nanomaterials using biological approaches, interactions of nanomaterials with living organisms on molecular, cellular and organ levels and potential applications. Students will be introduced to interesting interdisciplinary science topics as biotechnology, biomineralization and biomimetics. This course theoretically extends other courses as “An introduction to nanotechnology” and “Nanotechnology II – The methods of nanoparticles preparation”.
