Summary

The main target of the Laboratory of optical spectroscopy is obtain practical skils in the field of spectroscopy, systematic and independent solution problems. Studets will use research laboratory equipment and setups. It includes to learn of experimental data processing. Students will practice presenting of their results in the form of presentation and laboratory measurement reports. Laboratory training include measurement of unknown samples based on dielectrics, anisotropic materials, semiconductors, liquids, periodic systems, polarization components etc.

Subject syllabus:

Laboratorní cvičení zahrnuje meření neznámých vzorků na bázi dielektrik, anizotropních materiálů, polovodičů, kapalin, periodických systémů, polarizačních součastek apod. Je založeno na experimentálních sestavách: 1. Úvodní cvičení, seznámení s laboratorními úlohami, požadavky a bezpečností práce v laboratoři 2. Spektroskopická elipsometrie Muellerovy matice 3. Reflexní a transmisní spektroskopie v oblasti viditelné, blizke ultrafialové a blízké infračervené 4. Střední a daleká infračervená spektroskopie (FTIR) 5. Terahertzová spektroskopie v časové doméně 6. Mikroskopie Muellerovy matice Laboratorní cvičení probíhá ve 14 denních intervalech spojením dvou rozsahů předmětu, protože jednotlivé laboratorní úlohy jsou časově náročné.
