Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to deepen students’ knowledge in the selected sub-fields of physical chemistry. During the lectures, the students are going to get acquainted with the detailed attributes of surfaces, their characterization and importance in the interactions of substances. In the following part dedicated to chemical catalysis, theoretical knowledge is going to be expanded with the importance of and principals of catalysis, both homogeneous and heterogeneous, in connection with solving the problems of chemical kinetics. Practical examples are going to be mentioned. At the same time, the students are going to use their acquired theoretical knowledge while working on practical assignments in the subsequent laboratory class.
