Summary
The aim of lectures will be presentations of possibilities of inorganic carriers structure modification with variuos organic compounds. The results of modification are formations of hybrid organo-inorganic composite nanomaterials with wide range of application: polymeric nanocomposites, sorbents, antibacterial nanomaterials, drugs, composites nanomaterials for catalysis of organic reactions and others.
First part will be aimed to: 1) discussion about basic units - types and classifications of materials, 2) study of inorganic carriers, especially from point of view of nanostructure orders. It will be aimed to nanomaterials on basis of metal oxides and metalloids SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, ZnO and others, natural clay minerals and synthetic minerals, polysilsesquioxanes and nanomaterials on the carbon basis, 3) to analysis of methods for synthesis of organo-inorganic composite materials by modification presented inorganic structur with organic molecules and to 4) properties of prepared organo-inorganic structur.
In the second part students will study practical applications hybrid organo-inorganic composite materials with focus on their propre topics. Especially, they will study polymeric nanocomposites, sorption materials, antibacterial nanocomposites, organic drugs anchored on inorganic carriers, catalysts of organic reactions, their properties, importance and restrictions in use.

Subject syllabus:
First part of subject is aimed to: 1) definition of basic concepts - classification of materials, 2) study of inorganic carriers, especially from point of view of nanostructured arrangement, including nanomaterials on the basis of metal and metalloides oxides SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, ZnO, and so on, přírodních jílových minerálů a syntetických minerálů, polysilsesquioxanes and carbon nanomaterials, 3) study of methods organo-inorganic composite materials syntheses by modification of inorganic structures by organic molecules and 4) properties of synthetised organic-inorganic structures.
In the second part the students will be introduced to practical applications of hybrid organo-inorganic composite materials concerning of their solved problems. Attention will be directed especially towards polymer nanocomposites, sorption materials, antibacterial nanocomposites, organic drugs imbendded on inorganic carriers, catalysts of organic reactions, their properties, importance and limitations for applications.
