Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim is to acquaint students with the basic theory of the friction process and its importance for practical applications, especially for use in brake systems of road vehicles, rail, but also aircraft and various special machines. The development of friction theories and friction materials and the composition and technology of current friction composites for various applications will be discussed. Attention will be paid to actual friction process and modification composite during friction process, both focusing on the characterization of the friction process, both the influence wear material, including nanoparticles on the environment and human health.
