Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course will be to deepen the knowledge of the carbonaceous materials. The introductory part of the study will include a brief summary of the development of carbon materials from the early discovery and synthesizing nanouhlíků to current trends and opinions. Students learn the techniques of preparation and characterization nanouhlíků. They presented the most efficient methods of analysis and characterization methods for predicting the behavior and properties of materials based on modeling. A substantial part of the contents of the course will focus on the application nanocarbons and present and future. Applications for high-speed electronic devices, photonics, micro-chips and touch screens or solar facilities will be discussed in terms of the use of graphene layers and carbon nanotubes.

Subject syllabus:

The course will primarily deepen the knowledge of carbonaceous materials. Preliminary chapters include brief summary of carbonaceous materials development from the early discovery and synthesizing of nanocarbons to current trends and opinions. Students will become familiar with the technology of preparation and characterization nanocarbons. The most effective methods of characterization and analytical procedures for prediction of behavior and properties of materials based on modeling will be presented. A substantial part of the contents of the course will focus on applications of nanocarbons and so present and future. Applications for high-speed electronic devices, photonics, microchips and touch screens or solar equipment, and medical and pharmaceutical applications are discussed in terms of use graphene layers and carbon nanotubes.
