Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The student will gain an overview of the importance of nanotechnology and nanomaterials in the field of environmental protection. He will become familiar with the applications of selected nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in technological processes leading to better use of resources, as well as with technologies that have potential for use in environmental pollution protection. The student will also be introduced to the importance of nanotechnology and nanomaterials for the decarbonization of industry, for the circulation and recycling of materials, for food and agriculture, and medical applications.

Summary

The subject Environmental application of nanomaterials introduces students to the applications of nanotechnology that are related to environmental protection. These are applications for the removal of environmental pollution, but also applications of nanomaterials in technologies and procedures that lead to cleaner production, to the reduction of environmental pollution and the efficient use of raw materials and energy sources.
