Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The objective of this course is to inform student of basic principles of provision of intellectual property protection rights. By completing it student will acquire information on legal protection of rights and lawful interests of authors and users of their invention.

The content of the lecture is to apprise student of particular substantive-law instruments of legal relations regulation in the field of intellectual property rights.
- Patent of invention, improvement proposal, utility design
- Industrial design, topography of semiconductor products, biotechnological invention, plant varieties, animal breeds
- European patent registration and European patent, international patent registration (Patent Cooperation Treaty)
- Trade marks, label of origin, geographical labeling
- Community Trade mark, international registration of trade mark
- registrations of objects of industrial property and background research
- Intellectual property protection according to Copyright Law
- Origin of intellectual property within labor-law relation, eventually within student school relation during realization of project V and V from public funds
- Business firm, business secret, unfair competition, know-how, goodwill
- License contracts, franchising
Student will also get to know about rules of proceedings when claiming rights with Industrial Property Office.
